Era of cost-free threats against Iran is over: Ghalibaf

TEHRAN (IRNA) – Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that the era of cost-free threats against Iran has ended, warning that any act of aggression will be met with a decisive, regretful, and proportionate response.

In a message marking the anniversary of the passing of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Ghalibaf emphasized that Imam Khomeini taught the Iranian nation not to retreat before bullying and domination.
“Inspired by that same school of thought, the Iranian nation has shown in its struggle against the United States and the Zionist regime that the era of cost-free threats against Iran has ended,” he said in his statement.
“Any aggression will be met with a decisive, regretful, and proportionate response.”
The Parliament speaker added that under the guidance of the wise Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran continues its path of progress, dignity, and power with strength.
“Today, the world is witnessing the military power of Islamic Iran, the heroic efforts and astonishing feats of the nation's children on the battlefield, the conscious presence of the people on the scene, and the scientific and technological achievements of our beloved country,” he stated.
Ghalibaf further recalled that Imam Khomeini consistently emphasized Iran's independence and dignity, describing the United States as the “Great Satan” and an enemy of Iran and Iranians.
