Iran envoy to Mexico calls for strengthening dialog among civilizations

Mexico City, IRNA — Iran's ambassador to Mexico has emphasized the critical need to expand dialog among global cultures and civilizations to promote international peace and friendship.

Speaking at the West Asian Cultural Exhibition hosted by the Rosario Castellanos University in Mexico, Ambassador Abolfazl Pasandideh highlighted culture as a vital bridge for bringing nations closer together.
In the exhibition, which focused on introducing the culture, history, traditions, tourist attractions, and cuisine of West Asian countries, the Iranian pavilion attracted special attention from visitors. The Iranian pavilion showcased images and information regarding Iran's historical sites, ancient civilization, cultural heritage, and Iranian identity.
Addressing the audience, Pasandideh noted that despite rapid advancements in technology and communications, mutual understanding remains the cornerstone of global peace, friendship, and cooperation. This understanding, he asserted, can only be achieved through sustained  dialog and cultural exchange.
The diplomat described both Iran and Mexico as heirs to great human civilizations, praising both nations for successfully preserving and transmitting their unique cultural identities, traditions, and values across centuries.
Pointing to over 120 years of friendly diplomatic relations between Iran and Mexico, Pasandideh underscored the vast potential for scientific, academic, and cultural cooperation. He added that universities play a fundamental role in forging sustainable connections between societies and future generations.
