On Monday, Ebrahim Zolfaqari said the latest wave of Iranian operations against sensitive and strategic targets in the occupied territories had inflicted heavy and targeted damage, warning that any continuation of Israeli attacks would be met with stronger measures.
As promised, Iranians acted accordingly, he said, adding that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army had demonstrated a high level of defensive and offensive readiness and were capable of responding swiftly and accurately to threats.
Zolfaqari stressed that the United States and the Israeli regime should understand that Iran and resistance fighters in the region would not surrender under any circumstances.
The remarks came amid escalating tensions between Iran and the Israeli regime. Tehran launched retaliatory strikes after Israeli attacks on Beirut's southern suburbs and southern Lebanon. The regime later carried out missile strikes on several sites inside Iran, prompting further Iranian retaliatory attacks.
Iranian military officials have repeatedly warned that any expansion of the conflict could lead to broader consequences across the region.
