Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi made the remarks during a Tuesday visit to operational units deployed along Iran’s western border, stressing that the forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to confront any security challenge.
“The Army Ground Forces units are fully vigilant, with their fingers on the trigger, and ready to give a decisive response to any potential threat,” Jahanshahi said.
He added that the forces, operating under the command of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, will defend the country’s territorial integrity, independence and security “to the last drop of blood.”
Jahanshahi also underscored the importance of maintaining sustainable security in border regions, saying that the security of Iran’s frontiers is the result of the preparedness, capability and strong presence of the country’s armed forces.
The commander also called for the continued enhancement of deterrence capabilities and operational readiness.
