Aref also emphasized close coordination among government agencies, emergency services, law enforcement, public service organizations, and volunteer groups to ensure the ceremonies are conducted with dignity and efficiency.
The funeral procession for Ayatollah Khamenei and members of his family began in Tehran on Monday, drawing large crowds of mourners.
According to the announced schedule, the ceremony will continue in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, followed by commemorative events in the Iraqi holy cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday.
The final funeral procession and burial are scheduled for Thursday in Mashhad, northeastern Iran, where Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH).
