Kirkuk declares holiday to enable public participation in funeral of martyred Leader of Iran

Tehran, IRNA – The governor of Kirkuk has announced the closure of all government offices in the province on the upcoming Wednesday to allow the public to attend the funeral ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Iraq.

Governor Mohammad Samaan Agha told the Iraqi News Agency that the decision was made to facilitate participation in the funeral of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and related religious events and emphasized that the ceremonies will reflect unity and solidarity among the people of Kirkuk.
Iraq is preparing for major funeral events in Najaf and Karbala, with widespread mobilization of official institutions, religious groups, tribes, and security forces.
Iraqi media reports indicate that coordination meetings and preparations are underway across Baghdad, Najaf, Karbala, Basra, and other provinces to host what is described as a historic event symbolizing loyalty to the martyred Leader and renewed commitment to the path of resistance.
