In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Pablo Jofré Leal described the martyred Leader as the architect of a global model of independent governance based on the bond between Islamic and national identity.
He said Ayatollah Khamenei’s intellectual and political legacy, founded on independence, dignity, resistance, and the right of nations to self-determination, has not only elevated Iran’s position in global equations but has also become an inspiring model for independent nations, especially in Latin America and the Global South. This is evident in his letters to Western youth, he added.
Jofré Leal said the connection between Islam and Iran in the thought of the martyred Leader was a conscious strategy to strengthen national power.
In the thinking of the people of the Islamic Republic, speaking of Iran is, in fact, speaking of dignity in its deepest political sense, he said, adding that it is a firm determination that national sovereignty should never be subordinated to the interests of foreign powers.
He added that the revolutionary message represented by Ayatollah Khamenei could be understood through the principles of sovereignty, self-sufficiency, and inspiration for independent nations.
Ayatollah Khamenei was assassinated in US–Israeli terror attacks on February 28, when the two regimes launched a war of aggression against Iran in the midst of Tehran–Washington negotiations to resolve outstanding issues.
