In his meeting with Mohammad Reza Sokout, the new consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karbala, the foreign minister stressed the need to strengthen the good and brotherly relations between Iran and Iraq, especially in religious affairs, people-to-people exchanges, facilitating the movement of pilgrims, and better organizing pilgrimage trips between the two nations.
During the meetings, the two new diplomats outlined their agenda for developing bilateral cooperation before departing for their missions.
