Addressing the Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on Tuesday, Khatibzadeh said the world is undergoing profound changes, with unresolved conflicts stretching from Ukraine to the Persian Gulf and West Asia, placing Eurasia at the center of a global transition.
The official added that Iran is defending both its sovereignty and its people, as well as the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Khatibzadeh also reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), saying Tehran’s policy toward the treaty remains unchanged.
US and Israeli military aggression have permanently changed Iran’s strategic calculations, he noted, adding that Tehran will not accept coercion under external threats.
Khatibzadeh also stressed Iran’s interest in strengthening strategic cooperation with Russia and Belarus and supporting the proposed Eurasian security charter as a means of countering unilateral actions by major powers.
