MP: Iran will give smart response to any US attack

Tehran, IRNA – The head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has warned that any new US attack on Iran would trigger a smart and decisive response.

Ebrahim Azizi made the remarks during an open session of Parliament on Wednesday, warning Washington against any miscalculation.

“Any reckless action will be met with a smart, decisive and regret-inducing response from the Iranian people and Armed Forces,” he said.

Azizi’s remarks come amid renewed US and Israeli talk of plans to resume military aggression against Iran in recent weeks.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has ordered the Armed Forces to be prepared to deliver a swift response with no geographical limits if attacks against the country resume.
