Americans want end to wars, focus on their own issues: Pezeshkian’s deputy

Rasht, IRNA – Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, deputy to the president for executive affairs, says the outcome of the US elections reflected voters’ demand for an end to wars and threats and greater attention to domestic issues and people’s livelihoods.

Speaking at a meeting with investors and economic activists in Gilan Province, northern Iran, on Thursday, Ghaempanah said the message from US voters echoes Iran’s longstanding call for Washington to stop threatening other countries and focus on its own people.

The official added that voters who had previously supported Republicans have turned away from them because they wanted wars to end, the cost of living to be addressed, America to be put first, and Washington to reconsider its ties with Israel.

Ghaempanah also praised Iranian entrepreneurs and producers, saying their endeavors have helped the country maintain economic resilience despite decades of US sanctions and restrictions.
